Source special ID

Post by zhuzhuzhu »

Dear Sir:
I have one question: In the default DBManager, the special ID for "test line" is 0 while for the "water fountain 4m" is 1, whta is the defference between 0 and 1?

Hi, Sir
Thanks a lot for your reply, that is very useful. I have two other questions:
1, how much is the default initial temperature of water source, for example, spray.
2, I tried three types of water source, eg.point, line and area with the same emission, 500000µg/s (Point source), 500000µg/(m*s) (Line Source), or 500000µg/(m²*s) (Area Source). However, the results are all the same, I wonder why?
Best regards
Zhu

Hi Zhu,

1. The water droplets are assumed to have wet bulb temperature of the air.
2. There is no difference between point, line and area for water spray sources. It is only relevant for the other sources.

Thanks, Tim
Now that there is no difference between point, line and area for water source. As the simulation results are the same. If I need to calculated the water consumption, which type should I choose? For the same exaple, the 1h water cosumption of one grid ( 3m*3m) for 500000µg/s (Point source), 500000µg/(m*s) (Line Source), or 500000µg/(m²*s) (Area Source) is 3600(s)*500000(µg/s), 3600(s)*500000(µg/m*s)*3(m), 3600(s)*500000(µg/m²*s)*9(m²), respectively. Which one is the true total water consumption?
Best regards
Zhu

Hi Zhu,

It needs to be given in µg/s.

Tim
