Explore grid

Postby Kalogeropoulos » Wed Jan 22, 2020 12:26 pm

Dear ENVI-met team,

I am a user of a lite version of the ENVI-met model and at this period of time I run simulations through grasshopper environment. In the main model there is a capability of exploring different grid points in order to observe the evaluation of selected parameters along the day. In contrary, in grasshopper environment, I am able to observe individual parameters at a specific time. Is there any way to observe different parameters along the day, without connecting many components together and making in that way the whole system slow and ustable? I also attached the images showing the simulation results reading system I composed in grasshopper environment.

Best regards,
George

Hi George,

Reader components is in my roadmap for Dragonfly Envimet.
I see from your screenshot that you are using components from lb_envimet, one of them is a legacy version (this is the reason why it is slow).

As a temporary workaround, I suggest you:
1) Download latest version of Dragonfly Envimet from here: https://github.com/chriswmackey/Dragonfly
2) Try install components which comes from attached forlder.

Installation:
a) Extract folder on your machine
b) Double click on Installer.gh to open it
c) Set component to True
d) Drag and drop "userObjects" files in Grasshopper canvas
e) Restart Rhino and Grasshopper

If you have issue with installation, please let me know.

Regards,
Antonello

Hi George,

I have developed some components for Dragonfly Legacy to read ENVI-Met outputs. They are in beta version for now.
If you want you can download them from here: https://github.com/AntonelloDN/df_envimet
It works with 3D inx model. Just make sure you create a copy of your INX 2.5D.
